Obituary

Boston – Delia (Audette) Rose, 78, of Pine Street, North Dartmouth died Monday, September 20, 2004 at Massachusetts General Hospital. She was the widow of the late John E. Rose, Sr..

Mrs. Rose was born in Pawtucket, RI, daughter of the late Hilaire and Beatrice (Ricard) Audette, and had resided in North Dartmouth for the past 37 years. She was a former member of St. George Church, Westport and a former member of the Royal Travelers Senior Citizens of New Bedford. Prior to her retirement she worked for the Acushnet Company in New Bedford and was a self-employed hairdresser.

Survivors include a son: John E. Rose, Jr. of New Bedford; 2 brothers: Albert A. Audette of Westport and Paul E. Audette of New Bedford; 2 sisters: Eva Craveiro of Fall River and Huguette Soucy of New Bedford; 2 grandchildren: Stephanie Rose and Brande Whitehouse; a great grandson: Collin Oliver; and several nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Roland E. Audette.

Services to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Friday, September 24, 2004 at 11:30 A.M. at the Potter Funeral Home, 81 Reed Road, Westport.

Calling hours Thursday 6 – 9 P.M.

Interment will be in St. John’s Cemetery, New Bedford.
