Ethel Louise Brownlee, 88, of Moultrie died Sunday, October 20, 2013, at Colquitt County Regional Medical Center in Moultrie. A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 23, 2013, in Oak Ridge Cemetery. A scripture reading will be done by William Lane, Jr. and eulogies will be given by Acenet Lane and Ellen Alderman. There will be no formal visitation, but family and friends are welcome to come by Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals until the hour of the service.
Miss Brownlee was born on February 3, 1925 in Tift County and was the daughter of Durward Brownlee and Minnie Bell Allen Brownlee, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Eugene Brownlee and Olen Brownlee; two sisters, Bernice Brownlee Lane Williams and Lula Bell Folsom; and one niece, Edwina McMath. She was a homemaker and retired from clerical work. She had lived most of her life in Moultrie.
Miss Brownlee is survived by seven nephews, Leroy Lane, Ronald Brownlee, Kenny Brownlee, Dennis Brownlee, Glenn Brownlee, Darrell Folsom and Rev. David Folsom; four nieces, Geraldine Herlovich, Judith Hammond, Ann Hester and Susan Hill; several extended family members; and her very special friends, Ellen, Benny and Benji Alderman of Moultrie.
