FRAMINGHAM: Sebastian Stroscio, 80, died on October 10, 2013 at the VA Hospital in West Roxbury following a brief illness.
He was born in Giarre, Italy on November 15, 1932 the son of the late Sebastiano Stroscio and Rose (Barbagalo) Stroscio.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Mariela (Contreras) Stroscio of Framingham. He was the beloved father of Daniel Stroscio of Westborough and Alessandro Stroscio of Miami, Florida. He is also survived by three grandchildren.
Sebastian has been a resident of Framingham for the past 41 years and previously resided in West Newton and Italy. He became a citizen of the United States and served his country proudly during the Korean Conflict with the United States Army as a Corporal. He retired after many years of dedicated service as a Machinist with Acumeter Laboratory.
Visitations will be held on Sunday, October 20, 2013 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (Off Rte 30), Wayland.
His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 21, 2013 at 10:00 am at St. George Church, 80 School Street (Rte 126), Framingham.
Entombment will follow in Edgell Grove Cemetery in Framingham.
