Richard L. Knight, 62, of Derry, NH, died Sunday, September 19, 2004 in the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH. Mr. Knight was born in Medford, MA on December 5, 1941, a son of the late George and Alberta (Baker) Knight. He was a resident of Derry for the past 31 years, formerly living in Medford, MA where he graduated from Medford High School. He served in the National Guard. He was employed as a carpenter with the Carpenter's Union #218 of Boston, MA for 35 years, retiring in 2003. He enjoyed traveling in the RV, fishing and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy A. (Naves) Knight of Derry, two sons, James Knight, Christopher Knight both of Derry, three daughters, Melissa Knight, Amanda Williams, Sarah Ferriera all of Manchester, NH, nine grandchildren, three sisters, Dorothy Adamo of Watertown, MA, Gloria Jeffery of Wolfeboro, NH, Evelyn Aloupis of Andover, MA, one brother, Robert Knight of Wilmington, MA, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 24th at 10:30am in the Bethany Chapel Community Church, 54 Newbury Rd., Manchester with cremation following. Friends may call on Thursday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry.
