Leonard “Lenny” Howard, age 59, of Mystic, died Monday at Mariner Healthcare at Pendleton in Mystic where he had enjoyed the last four years of his life
He was born in Westerly on April 28, 1945 the son of Aubrey and Margaret E. (Crouch) Howard. He attended the Mystic oral School from 1951-1963. Lenny was employed in the housekeeping department at the Mystic Marriott and was a longtime member of the Old Mystic Baptist Church.
He leaves his sister, Linda J. Paul of Mystic, nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be conducted at the Old Mystic Baptist Church on Tuesday at 11am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. The Rev. Lisabeth M. Gustafson, Pastor, will officate.
The family will gather privately prior to the service for burial in the family plot at Lambtown Cemetery. There are no visiting hours.
The Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, historic downtown Mystic is assisting the family.
