Elmore L. Sapp, 92, of Enigma died Tuesday, October 15, 2013, at South Georgia Regional Medical Center in Valdosta. A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 18, 2013, in Enigma Cemetery. Rev. Jackie Connell will officiate with burial to follow. Wayne Brannen, Richard McMullen, Hank Hopkins, Chris Sumner, James Kilpatrick and Lonnie Lupo will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 17, 2013, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mr. Sapp was born on August 5, 1921 in Berrien County and was the son of George Sapp and Martha Harper Sapp, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Beulah Othel McMillan Sapp, who died in 2006; and one sister, Elizabeth Gray. He was a retired farmer and of the Baptist faith. He ran Sapp’s Lake Skating Rink for many years.
Mr. Sapp is survived by several nieces and nephews.
