NATICK: Matthew Thomas Brady, age 41, a lifelong Natick resident and long time manager with Roche Bros., Inc., died suddenly on Sunday, October 13, 2013 at his home.
Born in Newton, he was the son of Robert D. and Kathleen E. (Kelley) Brady. He was a 1990 graduate of Natick High and continued his education at North Adams State College.
Matty was employed throughout his career with Roche Bros. supermarkets. As Bakery Department Manager, he had worked at each of Roche Bros. stores’ bakeries. An enthusiastic softball player since his Pop Warner days, Matty was a player and coach for the Roche Bros. team in the Division 2 Men’s Softball League. His team had just won this year’s championship.
An ingrained Boston sports fan, he also played golf, enjoyed photography and was most relaxed at his family’s lakeside retreat on Lake Winnipesaukee’s Bear Island.
Predeceased by his Dad in 1990, he is survived by his mother, Kathleen, and sister, Meghan E. Brady, both of Natick; his aunts and uncles, Carol and Edward Galvin of Brockton, Richard Kelley of FL, Susan and Jim Connors of Milford, and Belinda and Luis Hernandez of Lowell; his cousins, Christopher, Scott and Andres; and his many friends. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Richard and Elizabeth (Trumble) Kelley, Robert and Betty (Dolan) Brady, and “Papa” Everett Mitchell.
His funeral will be from the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common, Natick, on Friday, October 18th at 8:00a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Linus Church 119 Hartford Street, Natick, at 9:00a.m. Burial will be private.
