Morris Seigal 92 years of age. Life long resident of Chelsea, MA passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at his home. Morris graduated Chelsea High School-Class of 1939. Morris then attended Salem State for his undergrad, and later receiving a Masters from Boston University. He served 29 years on the Chelsea School Board. He was an administrator and Camp director for the Y.M.H.A in Chelsea. Morris was a teacher and Assistant Principal at the Williams School and acting Principal at the Mary C. Burke School. He was a proud US Army WWII Veteran serving in the South Pacific. Lover of family, animals, Chinese Food and horse racing.
Beloved husband of Marion( Feinberg) Seigal. Devoted father of Maxine Ebb and husband Mike, Jeffrey Seigal and wife Sheara, and Jay Seigal and wife Tricia. Loving son of the late Max and Annie Seigal. Dear brother of Joseph Seigal and the late William Seigal and the late Harry Seigal. Loving grandfather of Jon, Lisa, Adam, Kara, Jared, Jason and Aaron. Cherished great-grandfather of Kaylee and Connor.
Services will be held at the Temple Emmanuel, 60 Tudor Street, Chelsea, MA 02150 on Thursday, October 17th at 11AM. Interment to follow at Beth Israel Cemetery, 22 Fuller Street, Everett.
In lieu of flowers donations in Morris’s memory may be made to the Morris H. Seigal Scholarship Fund, Chelsea City Hall, Broadway, Chelsea, MA 02150 c/o Barbara Martin and to the Temple Emmanuel Fund 60 Tudor Street, Chelsea, MA 02150. Memorial observance will be held at the home of Jeff and Sheara Seigal immediately following the interment until 8:00 PM and Friday 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
