Carey of Easton; Natalie M. Carey and her husband John Battiloro of White Plains, NY; Richard B. Carey of Manhattan, NY. Grandfather of Christine, Emily, Ted, Elizabeth, Erika, Nathaniel, and Elizabeth. Great-grandfather of Jayden. Brother of John Carey of West Roxbury and the late Albert Carey. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Joseph was a retired comptroller for the Town of Needham. Late graduate of College of the Holy Cross - Class of 1949, Harvard Business School - Class of 1951. Member of Needham VFW and Needham Knights of Columbus Council 1611. WWII combat veteran, US Army Infantry, North Africa and Italy 1943 to 1945 and fought at the Battle of Monte Cassino, Italy.
