Ruth I. (Spaulding) Morey, 94, of Dartmouth, MA formerly of Lincoln, MA and New London, NH died Saturday, October 12, 2013 at Cedars Assisted Living, Dartmouth, MA. She was wife of the late Kenneth J. Morey.
Born in Newton, MA, she was daughter of the late Ralph H. and Florence (Bouret) Spaulding. Prior to retirement in 1980, she was a postmaster for the U.S. Postal Service. Mrs. Morey had been a Communicant of St. Joseph Church in Lincoln, MA and Our Lady of Fatima in New London, NH. She was an active member of Framingham State Alumni Association and the Lincoln Council on Aging.
Survivors include 2 sons: Kenneth E. Morey and his wife Ellen of Cotuit, MA and David P. Morey and his wife Karen of Conway, SC; a daughter Karen E. Goddard and her husband Richard of Westport; 4 grandchildren: Stephen, Susan, Aprel and Eric; 6 great grandchildren: Joshua, Nicholas, Zachary, Sean, Conner and Emelia.
She was sister of the late Edith Turner, Kenneth Spaulding, Frederick Spaulding and Leslie Spaulding.
Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited will be Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at St. Joseph Church, Lincoln, MA at 11:00 A.M.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 10 – 11 A.M. at St. Joseph Church prior to the Mass.
Interment will be in Lincoln Cemetery, Lincoln, MA.
