Obituary

DUDLEY – Stefan Debski, 83, of 7 Lyons Hall Road, died Sunday, September 19, in Hubbard Regional Hospital.

He leaves his wife of 59 years, Maria (Niemiec) Debski; 2 sons, Stanley Debski and his wife Grazyna of Fabyan, CT, and George Debski and his wife Dorota of Willington, CT; 6 grandchildren, Christopher, Leszek, Grzegorz, Monica, Stefan, and Monika; nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by a brother, Wladyslaw Debski, and by a sister, Maria Waliczek.

He was born in Lechnica, Czechoslovakia, a son of Stanislaw and Maria (Cichon) Debski. He moved here in 1972. He was a member of the Polish National Guard and was injured during World War II.

Mr. Debski was in charge of the spinning department at Anglo Fabrics Company in Webster before retiring in 1986. He was a mailman in Czorsztyn, N. Targ, when he lived in Poland. He was a member of Saint Andrew Bobola Church. He enjoyed trout fishing and his garden.

The funeral will be held Wednesday, September 22, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home,340 School Street, Webster, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Saint Andrew Bobola Church, 54 West Main Street. Burial will be in Saint Joseph Garden of Peace, Webster. Calling hours are from 6:00 to 9:00 PM Tuesday, Sept. 21, in the funeral home.
