Robert E. Mattos of Medford died Thursday evening at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital. He was 77.
Robert was born and raised in Cambridge, the son of the late William and Mary (Sousa) Mattos. Bob served in the Army during the Korean War. After his discharge, he worked for many years as a supervisor with Teradyne. A Medford resident for 54 years, Bob was a devoted husband, father and papa.
He is survived by his beloved wife Angela (Petroni) Mattos and his devoted children: Robert A. Mattos of Medford and Kathy Mattos Franklin of Chelsea. Bob was a loving papa to Sarah Mattos and Delano and Maceo Franklin. The dear brother of Henry and Ronald Mattos, Marie “Sis” Morrison, he was predeceased by brothers Richard and William Mattos.
Family and friends may visit at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Tuesday from 4 thru 8 PM and again on Wednesday October 16th at 8 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in Saint Joseph Church at 9 AM. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
