Mildred J. “Dolly” (Kenney) Kaskon, age 76, a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend, died suddenly on Saturday, October 5, 2013, at her Natick home.
Born, raised and educated in Somerville, Dolly was married and settled in Natick with her former husband John in 1960. It was there they created a warm and loving home for their growing family.
Dolly worked for several years with the Natick Public Schools as a lunch monitor at the Center School. She then was employed in food service with Wellesley College for 35 years. Dolly was a steadfast friend who enjoyed jaunts out of town and playing bingo. She was happiest in the company of her loving family, and close friends and neighbors.
She is survived by two daughters, Terri Vinnicombe and her husband Kevin of Natick, and Tammy Amoroso and her husband Albert of Lauderdale Lakes, FL; a son, John Kaskon, Jr., of Waterboro, ME; a brother, James Kenney and his wife Sheila of York Beach and Boca Raton; three grandchildren, Nicole Kelly, Jordyn Kaskon, and Braden Kaskon ; two great-grandchildren, Haileyanna and Lajayceon White; and many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be at the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common, Natick, on Saturday, October 12th at 10:00a.m. Burial will follow at Glenwood Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Friday 4 – 7p.m.
