Fred Bunker, 81, of Westland, MI passed away Monday, October 7, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 29, 1932 in Derry, NH a son of the late Fred M. and Lottie (Parker) Bunker. Fred graduated from Pinkerton Academy, “Class of 50”, and went on to proudly serve his country in the US Navy. Fred worked his entire career until retirement for American Airlines, based in Detroit MI.
He is survived by his wife, Joy (Connon) Bunker, two sons, Mark Bunker of Perry Village, Kansas; Paul Bunker of Pittsburg, PA; and one daughter Amy Bunker of Ann Arbor, MI; one grandson, Joshua Bunker and two granddaughters, Helen and Emma Bunker. One sister, Amy Bunker of Derry, NH and a brother Howard Bunker of Derry, NH, and one niece Cheryle-Bunker Good. Predeceased by three brothers, Milon, Leon and Ralph Bunker; and one nephew, Captain Ralph Bunker (DFD) Derry, NH.
A graveside service will be at the Forest Hills Cemetery, Derry, NH at a later date.
