Betty Joe Crosby, age 75, of Douglas, GA passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2013, at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Mrs. Crosby was born on October 17, 1937, in Douglas, GA to the late Jimmy Stevens and Lois Madelyn Carter Stevens.
Survivors include: her two daughters, Peggy Crosby and Kathleen (Wilson) Chaney both of Douglas, GA, two sons, Gary Crosby and Larry Le Crosby both of Douglas, GA three brothers, David Stevens of Douglas, GA, Donald Stevens of Axson, GA, and Ronald Stevens of Douglas, GA, six sisters, Lorine Fulcham, Mary Musgrove, Jane Spell, Madelyn Chaney Dorothy Hutchison all of Douglas, GA and Sue Giles of Broxton, GA, four grandchildren, Kayla (Joel) Thomas, Kimberly Chaney, Kandice (Joey) Burkett, and Matthew Crosby, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilburn Joseph Crosby and sister, Glory Ann Arnold.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 from 6-9 pm.
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2013 at 2 :00 p.m. at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with Rev. Kyle Taft officiating. Interment will follow at Hebron Church Cemetery.
