Barbara M. (Gabree) Conley, 89, of Shrewsbury died Tuesday, October 8th in Millbury Health Care Center. Her husband, Frank Conley died in 2004. She leaves a daughter, Denise C. Parlee and her husband, John of Worcester; two grandchildren, Sharon Parlee and her partner, Bill Luff of Worcester and John Parlee, Jr. and his wife, Kim of Charlton; a great granddaughter, Olivia. Barbara was predeceased by a brother, Joseph Gabree; a sister, Helen Dauginikas and a niece, Patricia Cronin.
She was born in Worcester the daughter of Elijah and Elizabeth (Ward) Gabree and lived here most of her life. Barbara worked at Neles Jamesbury Corporation for many years as a bookkeeper, retiring in 1987. She was a member of the Red Hats Society and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Millbury Health Care Center for their compassion and care during Barbara’s illness.
A calling hour will be held on Thursday, October 10th from 5:00 until 6:30 PM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester with a service immediately following. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
