William J. "Pop" Morin, 78, died surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013. He leaves 5 children, Donna DeFazio of Worcester, Michele Gordon and her husband James of Worcester, Darlene A. Gary and her husband Jan of Worcester, James DeFazio and his wife Cathy of Webster, and Lisa Skillern and her husband James of North Carolina; grandchildren: Ryan, Shaun, Shannon, Krystle, Danielle, Shanie, Brandy, Amanda, Andrew, Jamie, Devon, Skyla, Monica, James, Justin, and Jayden; great-grandchildren; and 1 great, great-grandson; a brother Arthur Morin; and a sister Madeline Cote. He was predeceased by his wife Doris M. (Paille) Morin.
"Pop" as he was affectionately known, was born in Ware, son of Arthur and Clara (Miller) Morin. Following high school, he served with the Army during the Korean Conflict. Pop was a truck driver for many years in the construction industry. He enjoyed spending time with his family - especially the light of his life, his great-granddaughter, Emma Grace, with whom he lived.
Calling hours will be held at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester on Thursday, October 10, from 6-8 pm. A graveside service will be held at Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue, Paxton on Friday, Oct. 11, at 10 a.m.
