Moultonboro-----Bettie A. MacEwen, 85, of 103 Holland St., died at the Hyder Family Hospice House in Dover, N.H. on Sunday, October 6, 2013.
Mrs. MacEwen was born March 12, 1928 in San Francisco, Calif., the daughter of the late Harry and Hilda (Shureen) Grove.
Mrs. MacEwen was a long-time resident of California before moving to Moultonboro in 1990. She had been employed as the credit union manager for the U. S. Post Office for eighteen years and was the credit manager for the employees of the City of Palo Alto, California for many years, before retiring in 1984.
Survivors include her husband of sixty years, Albert E. MacEwen, of Moultonboro, N.H.; a son, Kenneth E. MacEwen, of Fort Collins, Colorado; a daughter, Charlene Mayers, of California; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. In addition to her parents, Mrs. MacEwen was predeceased by a sister, Dorothy Carr.
According to Mrs. MacEwen’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral service.
