DUDLEY – Marie A. “Mania” Sielawa, 86, of Dudley died Saturday, October 5, 2013 in UMass/Memorial Healthcare, Worcester after an illness.
She leaves 2 sisters, her triplet Anna T. Sielawa and Regina J. Sielawa, both of Dudley; nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Joseph Sielawa and Leon Sielawa, Sr. and by 2 sisters, Theresa Szczepanski and Jessie Wisniewski.
She was born in Dudley, a daughter of Ignatius and Helen (Kozlowski) Sielawa and was a lifelong resident. She graduated from Bartlett High School in 1944.
Mania was a payroll clerk at several shoe companies before she retired in 1989.
She was a member of St .Andrew Bobola Church and its senior choir. She also was a former member of the St. Joseph Basilica Choir. She volunteered her time for the church bingo, a game she enjoyed.
A memorial Mass will be held Wednesday, October 9 at 10:00 AM in St. Andrew Bobola Church, 54 West Main Street (please meet at the church). There are no calling hours. Donations in her name may be made to St. Andrew Bobola Church, 54 West Main St., PO Box 98, Dudley, MA 01571-0098.
