WEBSTER – Michael J. Moran, 61, of Webster died Saturday, October 5, 2013 in Ichabod Washburn Hospice, Worcester after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 5 years, Deborah A. (Benoit) Moran; a daughter, Heather Forrester-Hall and her husband Michael Hall of Webster; a grandson, Camden Hall; 2 brothers, Philip Moran and his wife Karen of Virginia Beach, VA and Steven Moran and his wife Jane of Grey, Maine; a sister, Roberta Letvinchuk and her husband Peter of Rockland; many nephews and nieces.
He was born in Lowell and raised in Webster, a son of Robert and Rita (Lorrain) Moran. He resided in multiple states before returning to Webster about 20 years ago. He graduated from Bartlett High School in 1969.
Mr. Moran was a construction worker for many years. He was a millwork specialist at Home Depot in Auburn for 14 years, retiring in 2012 because of illness.
He was a communicant of Saint Anthony of Padua Church in Dudley, where he served as a greeter and as a Eucharistic minister. He was a member of the Webster-Dudley Knights of Columbus Council #228. He enjoyed reading, camping in Maine and spending time with his family and friends.
A memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, October 14, in Saint Anthony of Padua Church, 24 Dudley Hill Road, Dudley (please meet at the church) . Memorial calling hours will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 PM Sunday, October 13, in Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main Street,Webster. Donations in his name may be made to Holy Trinity Hospice Residence, 1183 Main St., Worcester, MA 01603.
