Obituary

George B. Curran, 90, of Worcester died Saturday, October 5th in the Lutheran Home of Worcester. He leaves his wife of 68 years, June J. (Grimley) Curran; two sons, Michael D. Curran of Belchertown and Joseph P. Curran and his wife, Kathleen of Charlton; four daughters, Charlyne A. Dore and her husband, Randolph of Grafton, Donna M. Dixon and her husband, Samuel of Pensacola, FL, Deborah J. Foskett and her husband, Steven and Denise J. O'Gara and her husband, Alan all of Worcester; a sister, Mary Largess of Wickford, RI; 15 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter in law, Karen Curran; a brother, Raymond Curran and a sister, Jane Stockwell.

He was born in Worcester the son of Joseph and Mary (Coutanche) Curran. George worked for Krizic-Corrigan Company for many years. He was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Church. Mr. Curran was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving during World War II and was a member of the Distinguished Flying Corps.

His funeral is Tuesday, October 8th from O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, 260 Cambridge Street. Calling hours are Monday, October 7th from 5:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street, Worcester, MA 01603.
