Warren C. Button
Longtime Wakefield Resident
WAKEFIELD: Warren C. Button, age 61, a longtime Wakefield resident, passed away at home on Thursday, October 3, 2013.
Born in Woburn on November 15, 1951, he was the son of Barbara (DuLong) Button, who survives him, of Wakefield and the late Charles W. Button.
Warren was raised in Wakefield, attended Wakefield Schools and graduated from Wakefield High School in 1969.
He was currently working as a local self-employed painting contractor at the Avalon Motel in Saugus. Warren previously worked for several years as a bar tender and manager for the Marlboro Country Club.
In 2000, he moved to Singer Island in West Palm, FL, where he enjoyed playing golf. He returned to Wakefield in 2010.
In addition to golf, Warren enjoyed fishing and vacationing at the "Cabin" in Acton, Maine.
Besides his mother, his family includes two daughters, Melissa Ward and her late husband Jonathon T. Ward of Tewksbury and Nichole Nastasi and her husband Christopher (Chip) of Dracut; four grandchildren, Michael, Sophia, Cole and Sam; one brother, Timothy Button and his wife Joan of Arizona and Billerica; four sisters, Linda Carter and her husband Paul of Reading, Charlene Kalivas and her companion Edwin Morgan of Lawrence, Donna Woodland and Danielle Marifiote both of Wakefield; his former wife, Michele Button of Tewksbury; his loving friend, Sharon Bouchard of Milford, NH; also many nieces, nephews and friends.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, Oct. 8, from 4-8 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 9, at 10 a.m., at the funeral home. Following cremation, interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Trust Fund for his Grandchildren, Michael, Sophia, Cole and Sam, c/o Eastern Bank, 1800 Main St., Tewksbury, MA 01876 or to the M.S.P.C.A-Nevins Farm, 400 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844.
