Leon B. Ranger, Jr., 81, of Atkinson, NH died Wednesday September 15, 2004 in the Parkland Medical Center, Derry, NH. Mr. Ranger was born in Boston, MA on March 26, 1923 a son of the late Leon B. and Lucy (Gibson) Ranger, Sr. Mr. Ranger was a US Army WWII veteran. He had resided in Atkinson for the past year formerly living in Windham, ME and Portland, ME. He had also lived in Burlington, MA for many years.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Esther R. Ranger of Atkinson, two sons, Kimball Ranger and his wife Lisa of Burlington, MA, Matthew Ranger and his wife Denise of W. Townsend, MA, three daughters, Beth Armstrong and her husband Brian of Hudson, NH, Martha Dorsey of Hampstead, NH, Susan Ranger and Kenneth Monge of Costa Rica, also seven grandchildren.
There are no calling hours. Following cremation, private memorial services will be held at the family’s convenience. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry is handling arrangements.
