Dr. Clarissa M. Patterson,81, of Hattie Avenue, died Monday September 30, 2013 at Greenville Health Center. She was the wife of the late Merrill B. Patterson.
Born in Killingly, CT, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Alma (Carroll) Hayfield.
Clarissa was a professor and had been a Dean of Faculty and department chairperson at Bryant University from 1955 to 1993.
She is survived by nieces and nephews and is predeceased by her siblings, Estella Jarvis and James B. Hayfield.
