Obituary

Frederick C. Bromley, 93, of Worcester, passed away Tuesday, October 1st in his home. He leaves his wife of 63 years, Sarah E.J. (Jones) Bromley; a daughter, Lynn Bromley of Worcester; and many nephews and nieces in England. He was predeceased by a brother, Thomas Bromley and a sister, Mary Joynes.
He was born in Cleethorpes, Lincolnshire, England, the son of Thomas and Elizabeth Florence (Cramm) Bromley and served in the British Army during World War II. Mr. Bromley was a machinist for Reed & Prince Company for many years, before retiring. He was a member of St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church and enjoyed woodworking, fixing things, and was a true handyman.
The funeral is Monday, October 7th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, with a service at 10:00 A.M. in St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, 695 Southbridge Street. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday, October 6th from 2:00 until 4:00 P.M. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, 695 Southbridge Street, Worcester, MA 01610 or Summit Eldercare, 277 East Mountain Street, Worcester, MA 01606.
