Robert F. Marchese Sr. died peacefully at his home in Peabody on Saturday, September 28. Born and raised in Medford, he was the son of the late Rocco Sr. and Margaret (Breen) Marchese.
Robert was the beloved fiancé of Maureen Lashua of Peabody and the devoted father of Robert F. Marchese Jr. of Boston's North End, Lisa Stathos and her husband Paul of Malden, Robyn White and her husband Shawn McCarron of Topsfield, Christine Marchese and her husband John Moreira of Stoneham.
He was the loving grandfather of Alyx, Mary, Grace, Alessia, Julien, Ayden and Faye and the cherished brother of Anna Burchfield and her husband Eugene of Weymouth, Rocco Marchese Jr. and his wife Elaine of Dedham, Joseph Marchese and his wife Nancy of Dovern NH, Rose Marie Marchese of Roxbury, Joann Ryan of Raymond, NH, Gerard Marchese and his wife Janet, Josephine Savage and her husband Bill, all of Medford, David Marchese and his wife Dawn of Las Vegas, NV. He also leaves many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral will be held from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Thursday, October 3 at 9:30 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford, at 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday from 3 to 8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
