Glynn Julius Moorman, 84, of Tifton died Sunday, September 29, 2013, at the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 3, 2013, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Jack Perrin and Rev. Terrell Roberts will officiate with burial to follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Chris Moorman, Michael Moorman, Julian Sutton, David Sutton, David Pitts and Brandon Sutton will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Van Dow, Bob Doolan, Harvey Hatcher, Gene Arrington, Ralph Miller, John Parks, Roy Smith, Bill Hughes and members of the Tifton Masonic Lodge #47. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 2, 2013, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mr. Moorman was born on April 24, 1929 in Turner County and was the son of Dave Moorman and Julia Hobby Moorman, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Appidine Brewer Moorman; one daughter, Ginger Moorman Sutton; and three sisters. He was a retired farmer and of the Church of God faith. He was also a member of the Tifton Masonic Lodge #47.
Mr. Moorman is survived by his wife, Mildred Easters Moorman of Tifton; one son and daughter-in-law, Raleigh and Lynda Moorman of Tifton; one daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Joe Isdell of Tifton; one brother, Mike Moorman of Leesburg; seven grandchildren, David Sutton, Julian Sutton, Krystal Mathews, Chris Moorman, Michael Moorman, Lain Pitts and Amy Gillis; and 17 great-grandchildren.
