...Veteran of WW2 and the Korean War
TEWKSBURY, MA - Robert J. Morin, July 26, 1927 – September 28, 2013, a lifelong resident of Nashua, NH died peacefully after a brief illness. Robert was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend to the many who knew and loved him. Robert was born July 26, 1927 in Nashua, NH, the son of the late Philip L. and Eva (Langlois) Morin. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Theresa D. (Turmel) Morin; two daughters and a son-in law, Patricia A. Jones of Nashua, David and Paula Schedin of SC; one son, Marc R. Morin of Texas; two grandchildren, Matthew Jones of NY, and Kelsey Jones of NY.
Robert was educated in Nashua and Vermont schools and was a communicant of St. Patrick’s church in Nashua. Robert was a veteran of WWII, serving with the Army Air Corp from 1945 to 1947. He was also a veteran of the Korean War, serving with the USAF from 1951to1955. Upon leaving the Armed Forces he was employed by Nashua Corporation for 28 years and was a realtor from 1982 to 1997.
Robert was an avid bowler. He was a longtime member of the American Legion Post 3, the NH Veterans association and he held lifetime memberships in the Veteran’s of Foreign Wars Post 483, the National Club and the Disabled American Veterans.
He will be missed by his family and friends. Internment will be private and will take place at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery at a later date. Donations may be made in Robert’s memory to the VA Medical Center, 718 Smyth Road, Manchester, NH 03104.
