Phebe C. (Adams) Roix a former Salem, New Hampshire resident died Monday night at the Upper Conn, Valley Hospital in Colebrook, NH, she was 96 years old. She has been a Pittsburg resident for the past 4 years.
She was born and educated in Perth, New Brunswick, Canada and came to the United States at the age of 10. She made her home in Chapman, ME and had also resided in Presque Isle and Augusta, ME. In 1962 she moved to Salem, New Hampshire and lived there until 1991.
Mrs. Roix was a member of the First Baptist Church in Salem, New Hampshire and the Bethany Baptist Church in Presque Isle, Maine.
She was the widow of Sidney B. Roix and the mother of the late Maxine Harrington.
Survivors Include:
1 son Richard and his wife Arleen Roix of Londonderry, NH
4 grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 16 Step Great Grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren & 10 step great great grandchildren.
2 sisters, Cassie Roix & Effie Grass both of Presque Isle, ME
Relatives and friends are invited to funeral services on Friday at 11:00am at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home Chapel 214 Main Street in Salem, NH followed by burial in Pine Grove Cemetery in Salem.
