Perscell D. McNeil, 81, of New Bedford died Thursday September 26, 2013 at home. He was the husband of Kay P. (DeGrasse) McNeil.
Born and raised in Dunn, North Carolina, he was the son of the late David E. and Mamie J. (Jacobs) McNeill, he lived in Baltimore, Maryland for 35 years before moving to New Bedford in 1986.
He was an elder at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Mr. McNeil was formerly employed by General Motors in Baltimore as an assembler for 30 years.
He was a graduate of Harnett County School in Dunn.
Survivors include his wife, a son, Perscell D. McNeil, Jr. of New Bedford, a daughter, Donna Hill of Capitol Heights, MD; a brother Henry C. McNeill of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; two sisters, Mamie E. Royster of Baltimore, and Cornelia L. McCarter of Greenville, North Carolina, and many nieces and nephews.
His Memorial Service will be held on Monday September 30, 2013 at 11 AM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 742 County St., New Bedford. Visiting hours are omitted. Arrangements are by the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
