Michael F. McDaniel “Pal” of Natick died on Sunday, September 22, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was 78 years old.
Born in Wellesley on November 7, 1934, he was the son of the late William & Elizabeth (Doll) McDaniel. He attended Wellesley Public Schools and then enlisted in the United States Air Force and served our country proudly for five years during the Korean War.
Mr. McDaniel worked for the Town of Natick’s Water & Sewer Department, working his way up from laborer to general foreman for twenty-seven years and enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening & carpentry.
Mike was the devoted husband of Donna M. (Doll) McDaniel with whom they shared fifty years of marriage. He was the loving father of Michael F. McDaniel, Jr. & his wife Kathleen of Natick & Kimberly A. (McDaniel) Benitich & her husband Efrain of Bellingham. Cherished grandfather of Sarina McDaniel-Benitich a.k.a. “Pumkinhead”, Caroline G. McDaniel, a.k.a. “Bees Knees” & Efrain Benitich, Jr. a.k.a. “Grampy’s Little Buddy.” Caring brother of William A. McDaniel, Jr. & his wife Karen of Needham, James McDaniel of Holbrook, Elizabeth Robbio of Wellesley, Margaret Gerace of Natick, Mary DeCristofaro & her husband Charles of Weld, Maine, Rose Marie Fosberg & her husband Charles of Natick, Jeanette Hansford & her husband Robert of Wellesley, Pamela Lougee of Framingham & the late Anne McDaniel. Brother-in-law of Beverly Doll of Natick. Also survived by many nieces & nephews.
