TEWKSBURY - Frances Senneville, age 80, a well known Tewksbury resident, died peacefully Tuesday evening, September 24, at Wingate at Andover, after a long period of declining health.
She was born in Methuen, a daughter of the late Joseph Normand and Rose Senneville, and was raised in Lawrence. She lived in Lowell, Gloucester, and Peabody, before settling in Tewksbury in 1968.
Frances was a devout Catholic and a fully professed Sister of Charity based in Carrolton, Ohio. She was an active member of St. William’s Church in Tewksbury, and traveled to Ireland, England, Wales, and Italy with Fr. Blaney’s church group.
She worked as a nursing aid at the Holy Ghost Hospital in Cambridge, Boston’s Lying-In Hospital, and Tewksbury Hospital.
In her later years, she was active in Tewksbury’s Senior Community as a member of the Tewksbury Golden Age Club, and a daily visitor to the Senior Center.
She is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Catherine and Kenneth Stanley of Tewksbury, a niece and nephew, Christina “Tina” Stanley of Tewksbury and Christopher Stanley and his wife Leona (O’Brien) of Wilmington, grand nephews and nieces, Andrew Stanley, Linda Stanley, Krystal Stanley, Jonathan O’Brien and Amanda O’Brien; great grand nephew and niece, Kalib and Torrie; her God-daughter, Erika Lynn Stanley of OR; several cousins; and many dear friends in the senior and church communities.
Her Funeral Mass was celebrated Friday, Sept. 27, in St. William’s Church, Tewksbury. Burial was in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Manchester, NH.
