Padgett, Cooper James 84 of Louisville passed away Saturday September 21, 2013 at The Hosparus Inpatient Unit Downtown.
Born in Martinsburg, Ind he was a retired Mechanical Engineer for General Electric and was an Army Veteran. Preceded in death
By his parents Cooper L. and Loretta Padgett, brother Gene Padgett and sister June Ritter.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years Betty Lynn Ballou Padgett, children Steve Padgett (Velva), ), Fr. Gary Padgett, Julie Blaze, Jackie Kessler (Jerry) and Joni Padgett.
His sister Betty Jane Robertson (Bill). Four grandchildren Erin Schaad, Brenden and Jamie Kessler, and Carter Padgett. One Great Grandchild Emerie Turner;
And Eight Nieces and Nephews.
His Memorial Funeral Mass will be 10 am Wednesday September 25, 2013 at St. Bernard Catholic Church 7500 Tangelo Dr. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday From 2-8 pm at Owen Funeral Home-Jeffersontown 9318 Taylorsville Rd.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Hosparus Inpatient Care Center Downtown.
