Patrick J. Carbone, age 92, of Middleboro, formerly of North Dighton, died September 19, 2013 at Nemasket Healthcare Center. Former husband of the late Catherine F. Keswick. Born in Watertown, he was the son of the late Frank and Maria (Farina) Carbone. Patrick was raised in West Bridgewater and was a graduate of Howard High School, class of 1939. During World War II he served in the US Army. He worked as a machinist at the Watertown Arsenal and the Boston Naval Shipyard as well as the Massachusetts Department of Public Works as a highway foreman until his retirement in 1989. He loved gardening and fishing and was an avid sports enthusiast.
He was the loving father and grandfather of two sons, Patrick J. Carbone, Jr. of Plymouth, NH and Christopher S. Carbone of Taunton, two daughters Patricia A. Stanley of Chandler, AZ and Elizabeth M. Stanley of Middleboro; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Santina Medeiros of FL and his brother Roy Carbone of West Bridgewater. He was the brother of the late Carmella English, Frank Carbone, Jr., Theresa Naples, and Dominic Carbone and Ralphina Burnham.
Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Tuesday, September 24, 2013, 8:30-9:30am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Patrick Church at 10am.
