Rosemary A. Duffey, a lifelong Woburn resident passed away at the Caritas St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Boston, on Sunday, September 12, following a lengthy illness. The wife of John A. Duffey, she was sixty-one years old.
Born and raised in Woburn she was the daughter of the late Ruth (Doucette) and Arthur Castine. Rosemary graduated from Woburn High School in 1960, and continued her education at Chandler Business School. After her marriage she settled in Woburn.
Her family was of the utmost importance, she was dedicated to their well-being and happiness. She enjoyed cooking and worked in the cafeteria at the Shamrock School in Woburn for a number of years.
Along with her husband John, she is survived by her children, Jennifer Arington and her husband Rick of Reading, Kathleen Leonard and her husband Bill of Saugus, Betsy Ouellette and her husband Brian, Erin, Mary and Amy Duffey all of Woburn, Christopher Duffey and his wife Kim of NH., and Kevin Duffey of Woburn. Also ten loving grandchildren.
Her funeral will be held from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St. Woburn on Wednesday, September 15, at 9 a.m., followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Charles Church, 280 Main St. Woburn at 10. Service will conclude with burial at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend, and may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 14, from 4 thru 8.
