Brendan J. Synnott, of Plymouth formerly of Cambridge, died peacefully at his home on September 13th at the age of 67. He is survived by his children John Synnott of Essex, VT; Jennifer Synnott of Dublin, Ireland; Brian Synnott of Jacksonville, FL and Christopher Synnott of Reading, MA. He also leaves his 8 cherished grandchildren and his siblings Catherine "Rena" Synnott of Watertown, John Synnott and Victoria Prescott of Manomet, James and his wife Kathleen of Belmont, Mary Michaels and her husband Alan of Silver Springs, MD and Kevin Synnott of Cambridge. He was the brother of the late Andrew Synnott.
Brendan was born in Boston, son of the late John and Julia (O'Leary) Synnott. He graduated from Matignon High School in Cambridge, Boston Teachers College and the University of Connecticut. He enjoyed golfing and was a teacher at Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School for 35 years.
Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, September 21st from 3 to 5 PM, with a memorial at 3:30, at the Richard Davis Funeral Home, 619 State Rd (Rt 3A), Plymouth (Manomet). All other services and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Ostiguy High School at their website (bostonabcd.org/ostiguy-high-school.aspx).
