Colette A. (Belleau) Sullivan, 74 of Peabody, died unexpectedly, Sunday September 15, 2013 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, following a stroke she suffered at her home on Saturday. She was the loving wife of 14 years of Daniel F. Sullivan, Jr.
Born and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Rosario E. and Edna J. (Levesque) Belleau. She was a graduate of St. Joseph Academy and attended Bentley College in their continuing education division where she specialized in employee relations while working for the former Naumkeag Trust Co. of Salem. Most of her banking career was with Danvers Savings Bank were she retired as Senior V.P. of Human Resourses.
Colette was a loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother, with special affection for her two autistic grandsons. She was a deeply religious woman who always found time for daily prayer and the rosary. She was a daily communicant at St. John the Baptist Parish in Peabody.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Judith Borek of Salem, Sandra O’Donnell of Peabody, Amy Gorczyca and her husband Thomas of Haverhill, eight grandchildren, Justine Elliott, Lisa & April Hannable, Kaitlyn, Meaghan & Ryan O’Donnell, Zachary & Joshua Gorczyca, her two sisters, Janice M. Boucher and her husband Richard of Salem and Jacqueline T. Carona and her husband Joseph of Salem.
She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Rt. 114 / 1-A] Salem on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at 8:45 A.M. to be followed by her funeral mass in St. Thomas the Apostle Church on the Salem / Peabody line at 10:00 A.M. Visiting hours in the funeral home will be on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M.
Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
