Uncle of Raymond Lirosi of Whitman.
Funeral from the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Monday at 8 am. Funeral Mass in St. Edward Church at 9 am. Burial In Calvary Cemetery. Visiting Hours Sunday 3-7 pm. John J. Lirosi, 85 years, a life long resident of Brockton, died at Caritas Good Samaritan Hospital following a brief illness. He was the son of the late John and Theresa (Ramondetta) Lirosi. He was a graduate of Brockton High School Class of 1935. Mr. Lirosi was a popular salesman at Kennedys Clothing Store for many years. Previously he was a record salesman at Forsberg Electric.
He was a talented musician who not only taught,but also played piano with the Ted Vallee Quartet. He was a choir member at St. Patrick’s and Our Lady of Lourdes Churches. He also sang in the former Ireland’s Own Choir and was a member of the American Federation of Musicians. He enjoyed being a Class reunion committee member. He also belonged to the Brockton Historical Society for many years.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years Josephine (Famularo) LirosiA daughter Joanne M. Donovan Three Granddaughters Christine M. Moore, Michelle A.
