William J. Brockish, age 82, passed away peacefully on Sept. 13, 2013 at home surrounded by family. He was born on Dec. 30, 1930 to the late Oscar and Josephine (Sable) Brockish. He served in the United States Air Force. William worked as a machinist for Package Machinery for many years before he retired. He was a communicant of St Stanislaus Basilica. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, Post 1849 in Chicopee and was involved with the Chicopee Auxiliary Police for many years. William was a property owner and landlord in Chicopee for many years. He also enjoyed spending time in Cape Cod. He is predeceased by his wife Emily (Nieckarz ) Brockish who passed away in 1997. He leaves 3 daughters, Linda Guilbert and her husband Robert of Peoria, AZ, Sharon Sieracki and her husband Paul of Agawam and Catherine Deska and her husband Richard of Chicopee; 2 brothers, Harry Brockish of Manhattan, KS and Robert Brockish of KS; one sister Rita Kilner of Manhattan, KS and 5 beloved grandchildren, Robert Guilbert Jr., Jason Guilbert, Allan Sieracki, Carolyn Russo and her husband Andrew and Alison Deska. He also leaves a dear friend Constance Mitsopoulos of MD. He is predeceased by his brother Donald Brockish. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013 at 9 a.m from the Grise Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian burial in St Stanislaus Basilica at 10:00 a.m. with burial to follow in St Stanislaus Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday Sept. 17, 2013 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee.
