Obituary

Jon W. Currivan, 73, of Medway died Saturday, September 14, 2013 at his daughter’s home in Holliston surrounded by family. He was the husband of Paula M. (Casey) Currivan for the past 44 years.

Born in Milford on October 3, 1939, he was the son of the late Clement and G. Helen (Kelleher) Currivan.

Mr. Currivan was a lifelong resident of Medway. He graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Milford and attended Worcester Junior College.

He was the owner and operator of Auto Exchange on Main Street in Medway since 1983 and had formerly owned the Wood’s Store on the corner of High and Village Street in Medway.

He enjoyed spending time on the Cape, boating and being on the water. He also cherished his family and loved family get-togethers.

Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Karen Currivan-Kilroy and her husband David E. of Holliston, three sons, Sean M. Currivan of Medway, Brad S. Currivan and his wife Lisa A. of Franklin and Kevin P. Currivan of Medway, twin granddaughters, Kayla and Ashley and a grandson Shane.

He is also survived by three sisters, Jeanne Cavanaugh and her husband Dr. James Cavanaugh of Oyster Harbors, Geneva Figgie of Centerville and Jane McDonald of Osterville and several nieces and nephews.

He was the brother-in-law of the late Charles H. McDonald and uncle of the late Jeffrey Figgie.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral from the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St. in Medway (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass at St. Joseph Church, 151 Village St. in Medway at 10 a.m.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4 - 8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
