Harriet W. Clark, 85, of Derry, NH, died Friday, September 10, 2004 in the Parkland Medical Center in Derry. Mrs. Clark was born in Clinton, MA on December 5, 1918, a daughter of the late Herbert J. and Winifred (Poor) Willmott. She was a resident of Derry since 1976, formerly living in Chester, NH from 1958 -1976. She was a member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church in Derry where she was the telephone coordinator. She was a former Past Noble Grand in the Rebekah Union #11 in Salem, MA and a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter #198 in Salem, MA. She was a Past Lecturer for the Chester Grange #169. She had worked for Rev. Irving Jones as a secretary in the Greater Derry Contact Center, and had retired from the Derry Shoe Co. in 1980.
She is survived by one son, Samuel A. Clark of Derry, one daughter, Virginia W. Clark of Hooksett, NH, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband S. Arnold Clark who died in 1976.
There are no calling hours. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 15th at 10:00am in St. Luke's United Methodist Church, 63 East Broadway, Derry. The burial will follow in the Edson Cemetery in Lowell, MA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, (Wheelchair Van Fund), 63 East Broadway, Derry, NH 03038. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry is handling the arrangements.
