Christine (Dusty) M. (Catanzano) Mercuri passed away on September 12, 2013. She was 61 years old.
Christine was the beloved wife of Joseph W. Mercuri and the daughter of the late Anthony and Agnes Catanzano. She was the devoted mother of Stephanie M. Proszkow and her husband Michael of Sterling Heights, MI, Joseph A. Mercuri and his wife Nancy and their daughter Briana of Tewksbury, George M. Mercuri and his wife Dannielle of Medford and Kristina M. Michalak and her husband Brian also of Medford. She was the dear sister of Peter and Barbara Catanzano, Paul and Kathy Catanzano, Anthony and Joan Catanzano, Philip and Joanne Catanzano, Elizabeth and Anthony Kaloustian, Marilyn and the late Kenneth Peters, Mark and Kiki Catanzano, Matthew and Sandra Catanzano, John, Louise and Therese Catanzano, Alice and Richard Silva and James and Evelyn Catanzano. Christine was the grandmother of the late Mason James Proszkow and the godmother to Gregory Catanzano and Kelly Rizzo and loving Grampa, Irving Greenblatt. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Christine (Dusty) worked at the Agero Corporation in Medford for 20 years right up to the time of her illness. A devoted employee, she received many commendations and honors for her service. She was also a proud Army National Guard Wife who supported her husband through his 33 year military career. But her greatest Love and Achievement was for her 4 children, that special nurturing and commitment that only a mother could give.
The funeral will be held from the A.J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden, on Tuesday, September 17th at 10:00 a.m followed by a funeral service at The First Baptist Church of Malden, 493 Main Street, Malden, at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours are on Monday, September 16th from 4-8 p.m. Final resting place is at Woodlawn Cemetery, 302 Elm Street, Everett.
