HAVERHILL – Sonia M. (Winneryk) Berube, 88 of Haverhill passed away on Wednesday September 11, 2013 at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen.
Born and educated in Lawrence she was the daughter of John and Stephanie (Zemba) Winneryk and was a graduate of Lawrence High School with the Class of 1942 and also McIntosh Business School. Sonia was a secretary with her husband in the family business Berube Heating Company and also worked at Western Electric in North Andover, MA.
Sonia enjoyed cooking, spending time with her family and also traveling with her husband.
She leaves her husband of 67 years, Norman N. Berube of Haverhill, MA and is survived by her daughter, Sheila M. Therrien and her husband Donald of Andover, MA; grandson, Christopher Therrien and his wife Katie of Dedham, MA; one great-granddaughter Claire Therrien and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the American Heart Association 20 Speen Street Framingham, MA 01710. Visiting hours for family and friends will be held on Monday morning from 10:00a.m. – 11:00a.m. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc., 233 Lawrence Street Methuen, MA 01844. Funeral services will follow at 11:00a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will take place at a later date at the convenience of the family.
