Obituary

Fay Luane (Carson) Miles Lamb
Loving mother and grandmother, of Milford, NH, departed this life in the early morning hours of September 10, 2013 at The Atrium in North Chelmsford, where she had been in residence since July 5th.
Born in Pittsfield, MA on October 1, 1930 to Florence (Jenks) Lincoln and Kenneth Carson. Fay graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1948, and from Green Mountain College in Poultney, VT with a degree in Business Applications in 1950. After college she was employed as a secretary at General Electric in Pittsfield, MA.
On June 23, 1951 she married David Guy Miles of Pittsfield, MA at Morningside Baptist Church, where both were members. Fay worked in the Keesler AFB (Biloxi, MS) BX there during her husband's military service. She and David raised four sons of whom she was intensely proud. During their school years she was active in the PTA and various school-related committees. She held office as the Chief Registrar for the Town of Salina, NY Board of Elections.
In 1976, after moving to Fairfax, VA, she worked in a real estate office and privately offered home companion care to children and the elderly. Her great gift was as a care-giver. In the mid-80's and following her divorce from David, she relocated to Turners Falls, MA, providing loving care to her mother Florence, her Aunt Emily Carson, and to family friends.
She later married Everett Lamb of Cheshire, MA. After his death, she moved to Milford, NH where she lived for over twenty years. There, she developed many friendships and was active in the Milford Seniors group as its secretary.
Fay loved music and travel, maintaining a membership in the Community Concerts Association of Nashua and taking several trips with the seniors.
Besides her brother Glen H. Carson and his wife Lois of Belleair, FL, she leaves four sons: Kenneth Miles and his wife Maureen of Hudson, NH; David Miles and his wife Debra of Middletown, MD; Stephen Miles and his wife Mary of Tampa, FL; and Jason Miles and his partner Dennis Morgan of Staunton, VA. In addition she leaves behind many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and extended family.
In accordance with Fay’s wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial service. Those who wish may give a donation in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Association.
