Ruth A. McCarthy, 76, died Saturday, September 7th in her home. She is survived by her sister, Jacqueline G. Aspesi of Southborough, and many nephews and nieces including, Peter Aspesi of Dennis, Carolyn Aspesi Swenson of Webster and Neal Aspesi of Grafton. Her brother, Alfred V. McCarthy predeceased her.
She was born in Everett, the daughter of John J. and Margaret M. (Greene) McCarthy. Ruth was a long time member of St. Peter’s Parish; and was a long time lover of animals, and was known to adopt numerous cats over the years. She will be remembered for her constant presence in the Main South area over the years.
Her funeral is Friday, September 13th, from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with her funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Peter’s Church, 929 Main Street. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery. A calling hour will be held from 8:30 until 9:30 the morning of the funeral in the funeral home.
