Linda M. Pavia, 57, of Merrimack, NH passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at the home of her best friend Terri Grace Duffy in Londonderry. She was born on May 23, 1956 in Brooklyn, NY, a daughter of Paul Pavia and the late Mary (Cacciola) Pavia. Linda was a registered Nurse for over 31 years. She worked as a hospice nurse for over 20 years and most recently worked at Greater Nashua Mental Health Center in Substance Abuse Services helping addicts find recovery. Whether you met Linda on the street, knew her professionally or were her personal friend, she would make you feel at home instantly. Wherever she was, she brightened up the room. She had a peaceful and calming presence that immediately put you at ease. Linda loved people and always put others first, especially God's little children who held a special place in her heart. Her strong but quiet faith showed in all she did. She was a true prayer warrior, constantly lifting others up in prayer whether they knew it or not. Linda truly had a servant's heart. She embodied kindness and humility, always giving of herself, expecting nothing in return. She was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, friend, co-worker and boss who put her heart and soul into everything she did. She encouraged us all in a very special way. She is greatly loved and she will be missed.
She is survived by her father, Paul Pavia of TX, two brothers, Anthony Pavia of TX and Charles Pavia of NY; three nephews, Parker and Preston Pavia of TX and Paul Pavia of MA; one niece, Vanessa Pavia of NY, the Duffy girls, Katie, Mollie and Marie. held on Saturday, September 21, 2013 from 2 – 4pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry.
