Linda A. (Gilbert) March, 66, of Carver, formerly of Halifax and Bridgewater, passed away on Sunday September 8th after a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of Richard March for 45 years.
Linda was born in Brockton, daughter of the late Victor and Adelaide E. (Fox) Gilbert. She was a graduate of Whitman-Hanson High School.
She was a resident of Bridgewater for many years before moving to Halifax where she resided for 13 years, before moving to Carver a year ago. Linda worked for an orthopedic surgeon in Stoughton for 25 years.
Linda was a member of the Bridgewater Women’s Club, she was also involved in the cub scouts. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, reading, traveling and most of all spending time with her family and adored her grandkids. She also loved, getting together with her girlfriend’s for Tuesday night group.Linda was a devoted mother and grandmother.
In addition to her husband Richard, she is survived by her children, Joe March and his wife Heather of Pembroke, Jay March and his companion Meghan of Halifax, her brothers, Carl Gilbert and his wife Lorraine of Whitman, John Gilbert and his wife Shirley of CA, her sister, Bette LePore of Carver, her sister-in-laws, Maureen and Judy March and Judy Gilbert, also her cherished grandchildren Haley and Riverlynn March; several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late James and George Gilbert and Corrine Collins also her very special uncle the late James Fox.
Her services will be held on Friday September 13th at 11:30AM, in the Blanchard funeral Chapel, Plymouth St,( Rte58@ the rotary circle), Whitman.
