Elizabeth A. (Morgan) Crowley, 88, of Andover, MA died on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at Wingate in Andover surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Andover, MA on September 3, 1925, daughter of the late Alice Morgan and William Morgan. She was educated in Andover and graduated from Punchard High School.
Wife of the late John W. Crowley, family members include her children; Joan Mailhot of North Andover, Rebecca and her husband Peter Brucato of Kensington, NH, John W. Crowley and his wife, Carrie of West Newbury, Ellen Crowley of Andover, Sheila Crowley and her husband Randy Mitton of Andover, Sarah and her husband Bernard Rastello of Methuen, Rachel and her husband Mark Healy of Marshfield, MA, son-in-law; Russell Serbagi of Andover, her beloved grandchildren; Jamie, Chris, Ryan, Brendan, Casey, Morgan, Kate and Dolan and great-granddaughter; Hailey. She was also the mother of the late Liza J. Crowley and William C. Crowley and mother-in-law of the late Roger Mailhot.
Elizabeth’s greatest joy was spending time with her children. After raising her own family, she continued her great love for children by caring for many foster children and working for many years as a liaison for the Department of Children and Families. She will be remembered as an extraordinary mother who welcomed all children to her home.
Elizabeth enjoyed antiques, history of Andover and spending time at her summer home in Effingham, NH.
Her Funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Augustine Church, 43 Essex Street, Andover, Tuesday, September 10, 2013, at 10 AM. Many relatives and friends were in attendance. Calling hours were held in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover, on Monday, September 9, 2013, from 4 to 8 PM. Interment was in Spring Grove Cemetery in Andover.
