Mary E. Chevalier
Loving Mother, Grandmother and Sister

TEWKSBURY: Mary E. (Travers) Chevalier, age 79, a Tewksbury resident for 48 years, passed away at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill, with her family by her side, on Friday, September 6, 2013.
She was the devoted wife of Joseph O. Chevalier, Sr., who passed away on July 18, 1989.
Born in Cambridge on August 10, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Nathaniel Travers and the late Madeline (Taranto) Travers.
Mary was raised in Cambridge and attended Cambridge Latin High School.
She and her late husband resided in Cambridge and Somerville until moving to Tewksbury in 1965.
Prior to her retirement in 2000, she was employed as a Supervisor and Print Press Operator by the Globe Ticket Company in Woburn, where she worked for over 30 years.
Mary enjoyed numerous activities including bingo socials at the Tewksbury Elks and St. William's , traveling to Las Vegas, NV, Foxwoods Resort & Casino and Hampton Beach, dining out with family and friends, and spending time with her much loved grandchildren.
Mary was the beloved mother of and is survived by her three children and caregivers, Mary A. (Chevalier) Eringis and her husband Anthony, with whom Mary resided, of Tewksbury, Joseph O. Chevalier, Jr. and his wife Rhonda of Dracut, and Phillip E. Chevalier and his wife Jianping of Andover; eight grandchildren, who endearingly called her "Meme", Holly, April, Christina and Andrew Eringis, Lyndsay (Chevalier) Sheppard and her husband Robert, Kelsye, Joshua and Jade Chevalier. She is also survived by her beloved sister, confidant, and constant support, Dorothy Lawver, her beloved and devoted brother, John Travers, along with her sister Elaine Albertelli, and brothers, Robert, William, and Thomas Travers. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, Sept. 10, from 4-8 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Her funeral will be held Wednesday, Sept. 11, at 9 a.m. from the funeral home, followed by her Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Williams Church, 1351 Main St., Rte. 38, Tewksbury. Interment to follow at Tewksbury Cemetery.
