Patricia Jean Smith Bryant, 78, of Tifton died Wednesday, September 4, 2013, at Tift Regional Medical Center. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 7, 2013, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Tifton. Bishop Derrell Spikes will officiate with burial to follow in Cumorah Cemetery in Douglas. Austin Martin, Griffin Martin, Michael Dietrick, Lewis Dean, Tyrone Dean and Michael Merritt will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 6, 2013, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Mrs. Bryant will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.
Mrs. Bryant was born on August 20, 1935 in Tift County and was the daughter of Willie Smith and Lorene Adams Smith, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Floyd Bryant, who died in 1993; one brother, Sherman Wayne Smith; and one sister, Shirley Jacqueline Coker. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Tifton.
Mrs. Bryant is survived by one daughter, Victoria Wilson of Tifton; three grandchildren, John Vincent Walker, Keely Lorena Dietrick and Selena Leigh Martin; and four great-grandchildren, Keelan James Dietrick, Braeden Reese Dietrick, Ryleigh Elaina Dietrick and Arya Belle Walker.
